Golf
Clacton Golf Club is a members course open to the public spread out over 110 acres with panoramic views over the sea. 01255 421919.

Frinton Golf Club is also a members course, 18 holes over 6265 yards. 01255 674618.

Pitch & Putt Golf & Tennis at Holland Road. Holland-on-Sea,(Near Sladburys Lane) opens at 11.am last ticket sold at 5.pm. Run by Tendring District Council 01255 686688.

Fishing
When the tide is in you can fish off The Promemade, a day ticket for the end of the pier will cost £6 (Machine in Car Park at the front of the Pier) which will give you all day fishing. Great Oakley Fishery is a 20 minute drive which has two coarse fish lakes + a trout lake and a junior pond, all set in 375 acres. Childrens rods for hire, 7 days a week 7.am till 9.pm. CO12 5AE.

Kite Surfing
Clacton has a sports beach at the end of Marine Parade West say a 10 minute walk, Kite Surfing, wind surfing and the noise ones Jet Skies. It does not take much of a breeze to get the kite surfers 10 to 20 feet in the air, maybe higher but its great to watch.

The Sport with the highest death rate in the UK is also played in Clacton, green bowls.
Green bowls is along Marine Parade West by The Toby Carvery, they have a bar and club house, very welcoming.
