Wildlife boat trips can be taken from The Foundry Slip twice a day (weather permitting)which is in Walton (approx 9 miles). It’s a 2 hour trip in the Hamford Water to see sea birds and seals as seen on the BBC programe Coast. Tel 07806309460. Further details on our notice board.

Blue Bells ! there are a few ancient woodlands that are covered in Blue Bells in the Spring within Tendring.

Martello Children Zoo. It’s just around the corner in Marine Parade West within the grounds of Tower F. Infants.

Bird watching can take place at Hamford Water (Walton-on-the-Naze) the River Stour at Wrabness (The 1000 acre wood) which has a few hides along the shore line. Further afield you have Abberton Reservoir, Fingringhoe Wick and Abbotts Hall Farm all having visitor centres.
