The Watershed Studio holds a full programme of courses at St Osyth a few miles west of Clacton. CO16 8RX. The programme is available at www.watershedstudio.co.uk
If you prefer just to look and admire, The Munnings collection is to be found at Dedham approx 20 miles. Plus a tea room. www.siralfredmunnings.co.uk CO7 6AZ. Mind you Dedham is not short of Tea Rooms.
Dedham Art and Craft centre is in the High Street CO7 6AD. www.dedhamartandcraftcentre.co.uk which also has a tea room with home made cakes. Wilkin & Sons (Tiptree Jam) also have a Cream Tea Shop in the centre of Dedham
Across the River Stour and your in East Bergholt home of John Constable. Flatford Mill has a visitor centre with guided tours of where John Constable sat and painted his many famous pictures. www.dedhamvalestourvalley.org The walks around this area are like going back to Larkrise to Candleford, truely peaceful. Boat hire from either Dedham or Flatford Mill, take a picnic.
